Here's a more useful approach: a checklist of what actually separates a course that gets you hired from one that just gets you a certificate of completion.

1. Is it hands-on, or is it video lectures with a lab bolted on?

Ask directly: what percentage of the curriculum is labs versus lectures? A strong DevOps course has a hands-on lab attached to nearly every module — you should be launching real infrastructure, breaking it, and fixing it, not just watching someone else do it on screen.
